Location
The villa is located in Olmeto, in Corse-du-Sud, around a hundred metres from the beach and six kilometres from Propriano. Ajaccio airport is 60 kilometres away.
The commune of Olmeto covers nearly 44 km², surrounded by granite peaks, with 17 kilometres of coastline and around fifteen beaches, as well as the Baracci plain and its thermal spring. Nearby, the village of Porto-Pollo, in the commune of Serra-di-Ferro, has kept a modest scale despite the area's tourist appeal.
Propriano, a short distance away, combines a commercial port, a marina, beaches and numerous restaurants. Further south, Belvedere-Campomoro has close to 15 kilometres of wild coastline and Corsica's most imposing Genoese tower.
Sartène, 13 kilometres away, is known for its narrow streets and granite houses dating from the Genoese era. The villages of Viggianello and Fozzano, with their hewn-stone houses, round out the walks to be had in the area.
The prehistoric site of Filitosa, some 8,000 years old, lies around twenty minutes from the villa.
The region also has several animal and botanical parks, including the Olva park at Sartène and the Tanchiccia lagoon, the largest reed bed in Corse-du-Sud. Walkers can take to the coastal paths between Porto-Pollo and Cupabbia, the Campomoro-Senetosa trail, or the Bavella needles. The area also offers water sports (diving, sea kayaking, catamaran sailing, boat hire), horse riding, a golf club, a parachuting school and a racecourse at Zonza.
